Recognize Scouters and Scouts who make a difference!

As members of the Scouting family—parents, leaders, alumni, and friends—we have all witnessed the profound impact of BSA programs on our community’s youth. The volunteers in the Baden-Powell District dedicate immense effort behind the scenes, ensuring that every child enjoys a remarkable Scouting journey. From their initial steps as Lion Cubs to their proud ascent as Eagles, and every moment in between, our volunteers make it all possible. The success of Pinewood Derbies, Camporees, hikes, and unit meetings hinges on the tireless support of numerous leaders who give generously of their time.

The District Awards are our opportunity to honor those Scouters who have made a significant impact, either in your unit or in the life of your child. Whether they are parents, registered leaders, Den Chiefs, or representatives from your Chartered Organization, we want to hear about them. Please nominate these exceptional individuals for a District Award using the button below.

IMPORTANT DEADLINES FOR NOMINATIONS:

• Silver Beaver submissions are due on/prior to February 13, 2026.
• The Distinguished Unit Leader Award (DULA) program has been updated for the 2025-2026 program year. Nominations are due on/prior to February 6, 2026.
• District Award of Merit nominations are due on/prior to February 2, 2026.
• All other nominations are due on/prior to May 22, 2026.

Baden-Powell Annual Picnic and District Awards Ceremony

Join us Wednesday, June 10, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 8:15 PM at Pavilion MH-1, Militia Hill Area, Fort Washington State Park. The District Awards & Recognition Ceremony will begin at 6:30 PM, where we will honor the exceptional contributions of Scouters, youth, and units across the District.
